Russell Millpond Tributary Restoration & Flood Mitigation Project - Residential Support

Stenciled Storm Drain

The Town of Chelmsford is in the process of applying for a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Action Grant to improve drainage in the Sandra Drive, Donna Road, Temi Road, Janet Road Neighborhood. The Russell Millpond tributary floods during large events or when the downstream culverts experience blockages. The proposed project would evaluate the tributary stream and design stream bank restoration, identify methods for stream maintenance, and increase flood storage through nature-based solutions. In order to enhance our application, we are seeking input from residents in the area. If anyone would like to share any experiences or pictures of flooding in that area, or would like to simply voice their support for the project, please email Stormwater@ChelmsfordMA.Gov by Friday, April 30, 2021. The more residential support we have for the project, the stronger our application will be. Thank you all in advance.
