About Community Development

The Community Development Office provides a coordinated and comprehensive approach to the town's land use management, planning, economic development, conservation, historic preservation, and future objectives.

The Community Development Office serves as a policy advisor on the town's long-term and strategic planning initiatives related to housing, economic development, transportation, and open space and natural resources. The Office assists in creating, updating and implementing the town's master plans, and provides guidance for a variety of town projects.

The Community Development Office provides administrative and technical support to the following boards and committees

• Planning Board
• Conservation Commission 
• Zoning Board of Appeals 
• Community Preservation Committee 
• Housing Advisory Board 

The Community Development Office will provide support to other committees as needed.
