Join the Chelmsford Health Department and Senior Center for a FREE Textile Recycling & Paper Shredding Event on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Rd., North Chelmsford, MA, where community members can conveniently drive through to drop off unwanted textiles and securely dispose of sensitive documents. This event accepts all types of clean, dry, and odorless textiles in any condition—including clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding, curtains, luggage, and stuffed animals—with usable items being repurposed and unusable items recycled. On‑site paper shredding will also be available for personal documents such as bank and credit card statements, medical and insurance records, utility bills, pay stubs, old tax returns, expired IDs, and other sensitive papers, with staples, paper clips, and binder clips allowed.
