Dog licenses expire on December 31st every year, with a grace period through February 28th. Licenses that have not been renewed by March 1st are subject to late fees.
Regular Licensing Fees:
Neutered/ Spayed: $20, Unaltered: $25
Licensing Fees with March Late Fees:
Neutered/ Spayed: $25, Unaltered: $30
You can renew in-person, by mail, online, or by email at dogs@chelmsfordma.gov. Proof of current rabies vaccination required for licensing.

If your dog has passed away or moved out of Chelmsford in the past year, please let us know at dogs@chelmsfordma.gov so they can be removed from the registration system.
PLEASE NOTE: If you intend to renew by mail, your check and application must be RECEIVED by the Town Clerk's Office prior to the implementation of the next round of late fees to receive the lower fee rate.
