ANDREW J. ZABIEREK MEMORIAL BRIDGE DEDICATION 

Route 4, Spanning Route 495, Chelmsford MA

Andrew J. Zabierek served in the United States Marine Corps.  He was killed in Iraq on May 21, 2004.  He was honored by the town of Chelmsford with its Guardian Award in May 2007 and received the Medal of Valor by the Chelmsford Elks in June 2008.

A second bill was passed by both the Massachusetts House and Senate on November 18, 2015 to install signs honoring Lance Cpl Zabierek on the concrete bridge columns below the Route 4 overpass, which would be visible to motorists on both sides of the highway.  House Bill 2927 was signed into law November 23 by Governor Charlie Baker as part of the Acts of 2015.
