On behalf of the Town, Water and Wetland will be conducting Water Chestnut Hand Harvesting next Thursday, August 21st at Freeman Lake. If anyone would like to volunteer in these efforts to remove this invasive aquatic plant, Water and Wetland plans to arrive at the Shore Drive boat launch between 8-8:30 am. All volunteers must provide their own watercraft and life vest. Water and Wetland will instruct volunteers on harvesting procedures, no prior experience is necessary.
