Front Yard Tree Program

The Town is launching a pilot Front Yard Tree Planting Program in Spring 2026! Click HERE for application forms.

Town staff will order, schedule, and plant the tree at no cost to you! Tree must be planted within 20 feet of edge of road or back of sidewalk. Accepting applications on a rolling basis January 19 - March 13, 2026. Availability is limited, so apply early! 

The following criteria applies in order to be eligible for this program: 

1. Tree planting locations must be within 20 feet of the edge of the roadway or the back of the sidewalk. 
2. Tree location requires a minimum 15-foot radius of clearance to allow for the tree planting and for the tree canopy to grow. 
3. This program does not include removal of any brush, trees, or tree stumps to prepare the area prior to installation. Tree locations will only be selected on pervious areas (i.e. grass).
4. Only residential properties are eligible.
5. The resident will be required to sign a right-of-entry agreement to allow the Town to install the tree and follow up on inspections of the tree as needed. The resident agrees to do weekly watering between May and September for the first two years, and maintain the tree indefinitely.
